Dead! : c'est mort...

Les alt-rockers britanniques de Dead! ont décidé de jeter l'éponge, alors que leur premier album, The Golden Age Of Not Even Trying, venait tout juste de sortir en janvier dernier ! Dans un communiqué officiel posté aujourd'hui et à lire dans la suite, le groupe annonce la mauvaise nouvelle sans pour autant donner la raison de cette séparation. Toutes les dates prévues cet été sont annulées et un tout dernier (et unique) concert d'adieu aura lieu le 5 octobre prochain à Londres (et c'est déjà complet !).

“DEAD! IS DEAD.
We have an announcement to make, and it is not one we make lightly. To those of you who have been here from the start, and those that have joined only recently, we love you all. Thank you for allowing us all to be a part of something bigger than ourselves.
We won’t be playing any further shows this summer, sorry. but as a farewell show and a celebration of Dead! we will be playing our Underworld headline show on October 5th which has now sold out. We look forward to seeing you there.
We want to say thank you to everyone who has worked with us over the years and a special thank you to everyone who has come to a show, bought a CD, worn our merch or let us sleep on your floor.
